Arts for Art's Sake 2014
From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Magazine Street Merchants Association hosts Art for Art’s Sake festivities all along that thoroughfare. Galleries and shops spanning the street open their doors, many of them offering discounts, libations and special in-store events. Tami Curtis Gallery hosts the official AFAS opening block party that includes live music by singer/songwriter Julie Odell, jewelry by Miss Smarty Pants, drinks and snacks.

YSPCA 4th Annual New Orleans on Tap
New Orleans On Tap, is a free admission annual beer tasting and fundraiser presented by The Bulldog and Louisiana SPCA (LA/SPCA). Attended by over 9,000 people in 2014, New Orleans On Tap was dubbed the unofficial kick-off event to Oktoberfest and has quickly become one of the most recognized beer festivals in Greater New Orleans. New Orleans On Tap is a family and pet friendly beer festival that features free admission, live music, over 200 local and national beers, food, beer tasting contest, games and giveaways.

organization has provided direct support to over 3,000 New Orleans entrepreneurs by engaging
over 2,400 professionals to allocate 72,295 consulting hours and $3.45 million in seed capital.
Collectively, this portfolio generates over $100 million in annual revenue and has created well
over 2,000 jobs for the New Orleans community. The Idea Village delivers against its mission by
building an “entrepreneurial ecosystem” – a complex interrelated system of diverse constituencies
required to ensure that entrepreneurs succeed. The Idea Village grows this ecosystem by executing
an annual Entrepreneur Season™ from July-March that engages a collaborative network of partners,
including government, universities, corporations, non-profits, and individuals, to identify, support,

Professionals were exposed to a variety of beers, food and costumes during this festive event hosted by Nola Black Professional.
